In this post, I will go over a few things we did this week. Im starting off with Circuit Playground. The Circuit Playground is "family of small microcontroller boards with LEDs, buttons, and sensors built in. Designed specifically for novice programmers, the Circuit Playground enables students to get up and running quickly with physical computing without worrying about many of the traditional barriers to entry." I had a lot of fun with these from the fact that i could make music on it all the way to i could use its sensors for things like a piano and i used its sensors to hold up a color to it and then it would output what color it sees. And for my second little post, I will be talking about how we used Sphero. "Sphero programmable robots help kids learn fundamental STEM concepts through play-based learning and educational STEAM activities. You can use Sphero robots to play games, create programs, or complete challenges." So basically we did not get too in depth in the programming part yet, but we just got to drive the robots around which was fun. I got to try out a bunch of different robots like a star wars one. This stuff was really fun.

This is my second post for help desk. I have been a little behind due to having Covid last week. But I am currently working on my Pepper Project. Pepper is a semi-humanoid robot manufactured by SoftBank Robotics, designed with the ability to read emotions. It was introduced in a conference on 5 June 2014, and was showcased in SoftBank Mobile phone stores in Japan beginning the next day. Although I am not done with the project, the goal of the project is to make Pepper move to the front of the class and then explain information about the class and show images on her monitor/tablet thing. I thought it would be a little easier than it was but everything can be correct and she just wont move sometimes.
Hello, I am writing this a little later because the current project we are working on has taken 3+ hours. It still would've taken that long, but I was out due to covid so I didn't get to help my group for the first week. To start off we made pacman. "Pac-Man[a] is a 1980 maze action video game developed and released by Namco for arcades. The original Japanese title of Puck Man was changed to Pac-Man for international releases as a preventative measure against defacement of the arcade machines by changing the P to an F.[5] In North America, the game was released by Midway Manufacturing as part of its licensing agreement with Namco America. The player controls Pac-Man, who must eat all the dots inside an enclosed maze while avoiding four colored ghosts. Eating large flashing dots called "Power Pellets" causes the ghosts to turn blue, allowing Pac-Man to eat them for bonus points." We did like 3 hours worth of it and ended up presenting with the whole project minus the ghosts because that was going to take 3 hours.
Here is my second post for my Intro To Game Design portion of my website. For about the last month we have started working on this two-dimensional game called SunnyLand. We started this project off by inputting the background in plain without the dirt or any trees in the background. Then we added stuff in the background which you can see in this screenshot. I added dirt and multiple different layers at that. This part ended taking a lot longer because my project would just crash and not act as the tutorial video did. So I cleaned up my errors and then we added our sprite which is our pink/orange character right here in the middle. Then we added animations for him to move around and code for him to jump. Although still not done, this project was very fun because we finally got to do some hands on code and I really enjoyed it.
Hello. This is my first post for this class which is Intro To Game Design. It is my second post on this blog although. For this post we will be looking at my first game. We started with nothing then added what would turn out to be mountains. Then we added a player and a camera and then we added texture to our terrain. By this I mean we added trees flowers, and multiple other things to touch up the scenery. Overall, this was a very fun and exciting first project and I look forward to many more like this.
Hello blog. I’m Joey as you probably already know from my bio. I’m a senior and I’m taking this class. I’m taking this class which is technology integration also known as help desk because it seemed very interesting and I like the topics we go over in the class. The first thing we did was fly drones and learn how to code them. This was really fun and we even went outside and took pictures with the drones and even moved it with our hands. This was really cool and I hope we can do it again at some point.
